Bristol Insight Meditation are offering the following retreat:

Natural Wellbeing – Cultivating samādhi through movement and stillness.

Weaving together practices of qigong (Chinese energy work) and insight meditation, we will explore how
we can work skilfully with both the body and the mind to deepen our capacity for collectedness and
concentration (sammā samādhi). We will alternate periods of gentle movement with periods of guided and
silent sitting and some walking meditation. No special level of fitness or mobility is required and standing
practices can be done seated if preferred.

Jaya Rudgard

Jaya began meditating in the 1980s and practised for eight years as a nun in the Thai Forest tradition in
England with Ven. Ajahn Sumedho as her teacher. She leads retreats at Gaia House in Devon, where she
serves on the teacher council, and teaches insight meditation and mindfulness retreats in the UK and
internationally. She has practised qigong with various teachers and is a qualified Holden Qigong instructor.
Qigong supports Jaya’s own meditation practice and her online classes have proven popular with many
meditators.
