This is comprised of two parts: Humanity in Action Retreat: 14 – 17 May, 2020 Meditation in Action retreat facilitated by Nathan Glyde (Gaia House teacher and SanghaSeva co-founder) and Optional Sangha Volunteer Period: 17 – 20 May, 2020 Peer Led Sangha volunteer period.
According to the United Nations, there are currently around 26 million refugees and a further 3.5 million migrants worldwide. Nearly 30 million human beings (just like us) who have fled their homes in the face of war, persecution, income inequality, and the devastating effects of global climate change.
As a response to this complex and painful situation SanghaSeva is offering the Humanity in Action retreat for the fourth time. We will be bringing our meditation practice into action by working alongside grassroots organisations supporting refugees and migrants in Calais, France. In turn we will support each other as we open ourselves to engage directly with the ‘refugee’ crisis, fulfilling our hearts natural wish to respond with humanity when confronted with that which feels so inhumane.
We hope you can join us on the upcoming Humanity in Action retreat. For more information please see the Website: https://www.sanghaseva.org/comingup.html#haven Or find it on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/events/2496782847211789/
