In June Ajahn Brahmali will be visiting from Australia, to support our local Bhikkuni (fully ordained Buddhist nun) residence, giving a talk and running a day retreat.
On Friday 12th June he will be talking at the Friends’ Meeting House – entitled, “So, you think you understand impermanence …?”. We might think we understand impermanence but usually our understanding does not go very deep. We are trapped in perceptions that do not reflect reality. Sometimes we underestimate impermanence; at other times we overestimate it. We need to find the middle way and then investigate deeply. As we do so, the most natural yet beautiful truth reveals itself! To find our more about this talk, and to book, see here.
And if that whets your appetite, on Sunday 21st June he will also be hosting a full day retreat at St. Margaret’s Institute, entitled, “Spiritual Growth through Kindness and Compassion”. The Metta Sutta looks at the entire spiritual path through the lens of good will and love. We will investigate how you can use the practice of metta to purify your virtue, empower your meditation, and create the conditions for liberating insight. If you want to infuse your practice with more joy and ease, see you there! For more info and booking, see here.
This is the day after our day retreat with Jaya, on 20th June, so you could come to both and have a whole weekend of spiritual nourishment and growth!
