SUNDAY MORNING MEDITATION (11am to 2pm)

Sunday Morning Meditation meetings have been temporarily suspended.

These meetings are an opportunity to practice meditation together, discuss the teachings of the Buddha, share food, get to know each other better, and develop a sense of ‘sangha’, which is the Pali word for community.

Most of our meetings are peer-led and make use of recorded talks given by experienced Dharma teachers. The sessions are suitable for both beginners and experienced meditators. There is a fee of £5.00 (£3.00 concessions) to cover costs.

Please bring vegetarian food to share. Family members, including children, are welcome to join us, either for the whole session or for the lunch only.

The meetings usually begin with a guided meditation, followed by a recorded talk and discussion. The meetings start at 11.15 and lunch is at 1pm. If joining us for lunch, family members and children are welcome to join us from 12.50pm.

If you arrive after the meditation has started, please sit on one of the chairs at the back of the room, to avoid disturbing those meditating. Please then join us when the meditation ends

When we resume meeting in person we will return to the following two venues: Florence Park Community Centre (Cowley) and St Margaret’s Institute (North Oxford).
